I request the update of Mozilla Firefox 66.0.5.
When I move the portable firefox directory to a new location, after restarting Firefox, the addons icons menu bar has gone.
I can still access the addons through the Tools>Extensions menu and see that they are still installed. However, I cannot access the options for them that way.
Is there a file where the location of extensions/addon icons or shortcuts is stored that is maybe not getting rewritten when I transfer the portable firefox directory to another location or usb drive?
Many thanks.
Good day. While updating my Firefox ESR portable, it crashed doing the update.
I submitted the report. But now I can't find it. Where is it?
This happens just after the add-on certificate problem updates went out.
I was just stepping through my Options settings after the install of Firefox Portable 66.0.4 and noticed that 66.0.4 had in the 'General' settings enabled the setting "Automatically install updates (recommended)". I never ever allow Firefox Portable to do that, I only ever use the setting "Check for updates but let you choose to install them". So 66.0.4 must have reset that setting to the Mozilla default on install.
Same thing happened in my fully installed Firefox 66.0.4.
Hello, I am unable to find the legacy versions of Firefox Developer Edition. https://portableapps.com/apps/internet/firefox-developer-portable
I know where the legacy versions of other builds are. Does anyone know where those are archived once a new version comes out?
Thank you.
Since no one else has mentioned it that I have found, it may somehow just be me, but after the latest update (file version 2.1.4.0, 66.0.3), PP Firefox will not load Gmail, as it did before the update. It just goes to a blank, white screen.
Win 10 64-bit
Same USB, E:\PortableApps\FirefoxPortable
Same computer
Haven't tried it on different machine yet. I will update if it is machine-specific.
Update: It is not machine-specific. It is showing a white blank screen for Gmail on all machines.
Latest version of FF Portable seems to be very unstable. Pages do not load correctly, FF freezes up frequently requiring re-start, dumps my bookmarks, new tab content won't load despite assigning the settings I want.
WHy does each subsequent version seem to be more unstable than the previous one?
I just have two suggestions for the PortableApps Launcher for Firefox, both of which concern the AllowMultipleInstances parameter in FirefoxPortable.ini.
I clicked Help=>About to check which version I have and it started updating itself!
Until now it always had a message that this feature was disabled.
What will happen once I restart Firefox? Will the portable version still work fine?
