Is it just me or does FF portable refuse to store passwords?
This is the craziest thing I can't fix. My portable FF homepage keeps going to the sign-in page for iGoogle instead of my personalized page. I've changed my history preferences every which way, dumped cookies, dumped cache, reset home page, reinstalled FF. I thought maybe it was Google but my FF on my desktop goes to iGoogle just fine. Anybody out there got any ideas? Happy Labor Day to all. SB644
Like the title says, whenever I load a particular message board and scroll to the bottom where the drop down box is (jump to: different parts of the forum, etc.), FFP crashes and it gives a memory "read" error. Everything is fine until it gets to the bottom of the page, I can browse the site all day but as soon as I scroll down to a certain point... Game over.
Updated Firefox to the latest version, and since then it crashes every time I do:
Tools - Options - Advanced (I hope these are the correct english menu items as I use the german version). All the older versions of Firefox where OK.
Going back to 3.5.1 solves the problem (but is probably not a good idea....)
Can someone help?
I added too many add-ons at one time and had to disable them all.
In doing so the menu and toolbar were removed.
I was left with the harley-davidson theme and one tab.
I could add a tab, book mark a tab, that's about it.
so, i tried re-installing. no change
i uninstalled, lost all my plugins, oh well... this time i'll be more conservative with my plug-ins
apparently multiple menu and toolbar plugins did me in

I've recently begun using the PortableApps suite, mostly Firefox Portable, at work. I love the flexibility it offers.
Sometimes when I start firfox portable I get a message box that says authentication is required and I should enter a username and password for http://dylogon. The only way I can get rid of it is to delete firefox portable from my thumb drive and download it again. How can I avoid this?
I have Portable Firefox and Portable OpenOffice.org, and I'd really like to have OOo files opened in my portable Firefox. However, I can't use the "Activate Mozilla plugin" checkbox in OOo because I also have a local version of Firefox...
Also, I take FF & OOo to different computers, so they have different drive letters on a regular basis... is there a way to get around those problems?
I have just stripped out a version of FF to pass on to someone else and found in the cache there were some humongous files, up to 15meg in size, and heaps of randomly assigned file names.
What are they?
Why when you clear all the options such as history, pws, etc they still stick around?
