Java Portable allows you to easily install the Java runtime engine to your PortableApps.com-enabled device. With Java on your portable device, portable apps which utilize the Java runtime environment, like OpenOffice.org Portable, can automatically utilize Java even if it isn't installed on the local PC. JARs can be run using our Java Portable Launcher.

Features

Java Portable allows you to easily add a Java runtime environment to your portable device. It automatically works with apps in PortableApps.com Format like OpenOffice.org Portable. No Java runtime environment needs to be installed on the local machine and no admin rights are required. JARs can be run using our Java Portable Launcher. (Note that Firefox currently requires a local JVM, but we're working on it.)

Installation Note:Unlike standard portable apps which are installed to X:\PortableApps\AppNamePortable, Java Portable is an add-on and is meant to be installed to X:\PortableApps\CommonFiles\Java. Once installed there, an application like OpenOffice.org Portable installed to X:\PortableApps\OpenOfficePortable will automatically make use of it.
