ToDoList Portable 6.5.8 (task management) Released

Submitted by John T. Haller on September 21, 2012 - 12:09pm

logoToDoList Portable 6.5.8 has been released. ToDoList is a rare form of task management tool, one that allows you to repeatedly sub-divide your tasks into more manageable pieces whilst still presenting a clean and intuitive user experience. It's packaged in PortableApps.com Format so it can easily integrate with the PortableApps.com Platform. And it's open source and completely free.

Update automatically or install from the portable app store in the PortableApps.com Platform.

ScreenshotToDoList has been in continuous development for the last 6 years and is an ongoing project. Your tasklists are stored in XML which provides many opportunities for advanced formatting and printing using stylesheets. ToDoList's flexible design makes it ideal for both IT related projects as well as more general GTD uses. We welcome feature requests and respond promptly to all reports of bugs or unexpected behaviour.

PortableApps.com Installer / PortableApps.com Format

ToDoList Portable is packaged in a PortableApps.com Installer so it will automatically detect an existing PortableApps.com installation when your drive is plugged in. It supports upgrades by installing right over an existing copy, preserving all settings. And it's in PortableApps.com Format, so it automatically works with the PortableApps.com Platform including the Menu and Backup Utility.

ToDoList Portable is available for immediate download from the ToDoList Portable homepage. Get it today!

On the new Beta 11 of Portable apps I tried updating 3 times via check updates each time errored out unable to download. Successfully downloaded ala carte with no issues

It was downloading, but the MD5 was wrong in the database. Should be working now. Sorry about that.

Was unable to get on IRC to warn ya so figured this was next best way

Release Notes?

Does anyone know where I can find release notes on this. It seems like the link above to learn more about this app sends me to a page that hasn't been updated for awhile.

Thank you

I tried to edit the above post (fix up the wording), got the captcha wrong (once) and now I seem to be permanently blocked from editing it due to being classed as a spammer. Try this new post instead.

Indeed - ToDoList's dev updates the version on CodeProject first, and the AbstractSpoon homepage only gets updated later (if you want the current version, you go to CodeProject). Though that really applies to the download - the text on AbstractSpoon hasn't been updated in ages.

CodeProject page for v1.5.8:

Update history is towards the bottom of the page. Note that as the version number is in the URL, the address will likely be different with each new version. So, use this generic address:
(link removed)

It redirects to the current page automatically.

I used to have a sig...until one of the mods ate it

Is the new version of this

Is the new version of this available yet in portbale format? or how do I convert the new version to portable please?

Over Here

As of the previous comment you replied to, ToDoList was up to date. It seems that it is out of date at the present moment, so a new version is being built.

In the future, if you notice an app is out of date, just let us know here:

We'll update it as soon as possible. We just didn't know ToDoList was out of date. The page for outdated apps is right in the Development section if you need to find it later.
