Tile World Portable 1.3 Development Test 2Submitted by Patrick Patience on January 31, 2008 - 2:04am
Name: Tile World - Web Site Category: Games About: Tile World is a reimplimentation of the classic game 'Chip's Challenge', originally written for Atari Lynx and later ported to Windows. It's a small game where you pass through levels by collecting 'chips' through each level while avoiding enemys, elements, etc. Download: Download Tile World Portable 1.3 Development Test 2 Notes: As the base set of levels is small, I will be adding an installer for the 'Chip's Challenge Level Pack 2' later on, or you can place the chips.dat in your games directory if you own it, or download more user created level sets from the Yahoo group found on the web. Thanks, and enjoy. Development Test 2: -Changed a couple URLs, removed splash fade, nothing big. ( categories: )

Yep
I'll work on that now.
Thanks.

I tried it before I left for work this morning, and it seems to work well.
Keep up the good work
Updated
Updated to development test 2 to change a couple URLs and other small stuff before release.
Wait a sec
Didn't this used to be a pre release?
The guy who acts like he knows what he's talking about.
Yeah
But it was using an outdated splash, so I just threw it back into development test back in January for the time being.
Nice
Seems to work nice. Is it possible to do a German translation? If yes, tell me how (I'm working with people with little or no knowledge of English language).
Could you update the date of your original posting so one can see it's not outdated?
Umm
I was thinking about this. There's some program out there. ChipEdit? One second... Well, there's CCEdit and Chip's Workshop. I'm sure you could change the language of the level with that.
And yeah, I'll update it. - I lied, don't think I can change dates on forum posts.
Translation
Thanks for your tips. I translated the levels to German und posted the strings to this thread.
If someone wants to translate Tile World Portable to his/her language have a look there. You can use the English strings or the German ones as a base for your translation.
game/screen resolution ...
did it used to be at a higher resolution? For some reason, I thought I could see more of the game screen.
Hmmm, maybe I and remembering different analogues of the game.
Don't be an uberPr∅. They are stinky.
Development Test 2 works with vista
I've just tried development test 2 on vista ultimate sp1 and it seems to work well and leaves nothing obvious behind.
