Application: Synkron

Description: Synkron is an application used to synchronize directories. It features a tabbed interface, so multiple syncs can be running at the same time, a blacklist of files or folders to be ignored, scheduling and backups, and recovery of files that were overwritten during a synchronization.

Fantastical

This program is great.

Just some extra catches. Remove the version number from the first line of the Readme in the Source directory. Remember, I can't spell, so change Contributers to Contributors. You still have a fade on the splash, line 204. I'd say put the generic portable help topics in in the help file until you do get some pages set up because you may not, although for this app they would be handy.

Think that's it, nice work.

Folder left behind

I just saw a folder left at %userprofile%\.Synkron with various folders and (.rar) files inside it dated march 25, 2008.

"In three words I can sum up everything I've learned about life: baby ain't mine." -- Adam Holguin

thanks for catching

thanks for catching that....i'll look into this now.

Edit: I can't seem to recreate this. Did you change any settings, or set up a blacklist?

Restore

The only changes that I made, then deleted without it taking effect, was add a filter for iso files. I found, in my Restore section of Synkron, .rar files. They appear to be Frets on Fire songs, but I have not downloaded, restored, used, etc. any FOF songs. In fact, even though I downloaded FOF, I've never played it. I really don't know how those files got into that folder. If you can't recreate this, then I'll just keep a closer eye on this app and see if it happens again.

Looking forward to it ...

Hi,

Any idea when 1.4 may be ready? I am using 1.4, non-portable, at present. Made it "portable", for now, by installing, copying the folder to the USB stick, and uninstalling again. Not the right way to do it, I know, but it's only a "comforter" anyway ...

The next step: 1.5.0

I translated Synkron 1.5.0 into polish and the new version
should be out in the next days.
Better you update the portable one to the 1.5.0 version!
Thanks!

it's done!

1.5.0 version of Synkron released!

Portable 1.5.0

Hi!

I found this entry and would be very happy if there would be a portable version of Synkron 1.5.0.
Is there any chance for it?

Thanks
