contrary to what all of you think, a crapload of my friends have Halo on there flash drives. i think that they just install it onto the drive instead of the computer's hard drive, but i am not sure. i will ask how they do it. also, they are using the full version. they also have all of the network hacks so they play eachother in school over the central server. (LOL)

Anyway, the concept used to be: no registry entries, no files on PC. Maybe do a search on the registry and those games would pop up.
And needless to say that school's network should be used for more serious stuff like portableapps.com applications and games

That one is not. In the description it says that a valid Halo license key is required for it to work, and states that it is an unsupported addon. The app in question here doesn't state that a valid Halo key is needed anywhere, if it does require a key, then maybe it is legal.

I know because....
... I have used these same exact links before (a few years ago mind you. I don't use illegal software/games anymore). And yes they do contain Halo Packaged with it.

Well I agree with you all that portable halo is a real treat. Moreover, I have been using it to play hidden object games as I am more into arcade gaming. Its a real treat to play halo on the usb drive.
