There is a Guide how to build portable app from ziro?
how to create nice exe file, with nice icon?
how to create the structure folder and all ini files?
how to create a NSIS script with a common command?
how to create a splash screen?
there is an automatic way to create this things?
i think you need to add to Development section a nice
guide with full details and many images and links that people will create there own portable apps and publish it here.
i am a programmer, and i really want to create many of my program that
i need for my study and daily use.
thanks for your help.
Tal
Generally the developers here do not create apps, they help to make portable apps that are already in development by others. So as for creating apps that would be impossible to make a field guide, what with all the programming languages and such.
As for making other apps portable there are m any documents here on the forum my favorite it the portables launcher manual https://portableapps.com/manuals/PortableApps.comLauncher/
“Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.” Dr. Seuss
I didn't mean how to create app,
I want to create a nice launcher for other apps,
but i don't have knowledge (or the right guide) to create.
In assumption that I have already have an app that work portability,
and I want to add her a launcher:
how to create nice exe file, with nice icon?
how to create the structure folder and all ini files?
how to create a NSIS script with a common command?
how to create a splash screen?
But the Link you give me it a nice start, I will download PortableApps.comLauncher and go from there.
thx for your help.

To understand what makes a portable app, read this:
https://portableapps.com/development/portableapps.com_format
And actually read it. You will know virtually nothing about portable apps until you actually read the whole thing carefully and understand it. I tell you this from experience
To get the folder structure already, download this:
http://downloads.sourceforge.net/portableapps/PortableApps.com_Applicati...
Then download these apps:
RegShot Portable
PortableApps.com Installer
PortableApps.com Launcher
NSIS Portable
NSIS Portable ANSI (Optional)
IcoFX Portable
KompoZer Portable
PortableApps.com AppCompacter
7-zip Portable (optional, but recommended)
Daphne Portable (optional, but recommended)
Read ALL of this:
https://portableapps.com/manuals/PortableApps.comLauncher/ref/launcher.i...
Then, when you've done all that, and still don't know what to do, post your questions here, and we can answer your questions. You'll be more likely to understand us when we do.
I n order to use the Launcher gen erator you need NSIS installer (per the Launcher page}

Forgot that... I updated my list.
I also find I use Gimp a lot as well
“Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.” Dr. Seuss
What do you use it for? I can't remember a time when I've ever used it to make a portable app.
I use it for re-sizing icons - for example, if the included icon comes with 256px icon, I export with IcoFX or GFIE as a PNG, and resize to 128 for appicon_128, and farther down if needed.
Handling the icons for the launcher in the right formats, including the 128 png icon usually takes 1-2 minutes for me, depending on what icons the app came with.
By comparison, it takes 1-2 minutes to just start GIMP, and then it takes a while for me to remember how to change the size of the image, how to export and such.
My choice is easy
Hmm, yeah, it is quicker just to use IcoFX, However, the image produced isn't quite as clean - GIMP, etc, allows for scaling of the image, which it looks like IcoFX doesn't.
