Thanks ZacHudock. But I think you have not read my requirement clear. I know GNU Cash but it donot support inventory (rather I can say it does not have inventory module on it) like if you need to add stock inventory which you purchase you can't since each item of in stock have to be created and there in no master creation for stock in programme support only vendors and customers.
Well i am running a retail outlet where i have more than 1000 items like iron, radio, tv, hair dryer, shavers, etc....
so this GNn cash is of no use to me at this time only if the developer work on it then i can think about it.
Thanks.

Intuit Quickbooks

There is a free (not demo, but not FOSS either) downloadable version of Quickbooks on the Intuit site for small businesses. While the application is not portable, the data can be copied and you can have the application installed at home and the retail site concurrently. It may meet your needs.

Disclaimer: I am completely unaffiliated with Intuit.

Mickeyi4i, I am using Ms office accounting 2006 for my inventory and accounting, I have also tried Quickbook, Saga, and Peectree accounting they all are good and better then 'T-Cash' which I have used about 4 year back from now this programme it too bad and slow.
I look forward for some portable version of accounting and inventory programme so that I can install such programme on my usb drive and carry away to amy PC/Place and use my own programme and save all the work or data on to it (USB drive) with out living any information of my data to the PC or to that place.
I hope you have understood what i need from here.

TurboCASH will do this for you

We already develop and market a portable version of TurboCASH - cut down to 30Mb - uses an embedded Firebird database - writes only to its own drive - released free under the GNU GPL2. Is there anything else required.

You can use the same database in a full multi user situation of you want to.
