[Fixed] Pidgin: [FIXED] Custom pounce sounds don't work when switching PCs

It doesn't look like the paths in Pounces.xml are updated when Pidgin loads from a different drive letter. (Example: paths to sound files located on the portable drive.) Is that something weird with my setup, a design feature, or something that got overlooked?

I searched to see if this was asked before but didn't find anything.

File: Data\settings\.purple\pounces.xml

I can't say that I've run

I can't say that I've run into this issue at all. I will test if I get a chance tonight on a different drive letter and see if I run into the issue. I get the feeling it might be something with the setup, but I can't say for sure.

I tested this

Last night. All of the files updated correctly. My pounces worked like they should've as did all of my other files.

Sound?

Was it a custom sound that wasn't running? I don't think that portablizes yet. But nothing else in pounces is drive letter dependent.

Sound files

I did specify "sound files located on the portable drive" in my original post. Sorry if I neglected to say that they were custom sound files. It looks like the "default" sound is no problem, since that path comes from a file where the drive letter is managed, but if you browse for a different sound file for the pounce, the drive letter for that path in the pounces.xml file doesn't appear to be managed.

Confirmed

I've confirmed this and it will be fixed in the next release.

Fixed in 2.5.3

I added support for this to the launcher in 2.5.3 Smile
