(MD5: 0b0ced5e1efbba2d7198f3802f40a189)
Release Notes:
- 0.4.4 Pre-Release 2 (2009-05-24): Fixed parsetab (needed to run
python -O bpbible.py
before compiling it) and resources issues - 0.4.4 Pre-Release 1 (2009-05-22):
- Updated to BPBible 0.4.4.
- PAF/PAI 0.90; uses slight mod of PAI 0.90 so it compiles (bugs slated for fix in release of 0.91)
- Built using BPBible's inbuilt release process (
python make_release.py --portable --pre-release=1 0.4.4
) - The launcher has been gone over again and simplified considerably. BibleCS Portable and SwordBible Portable support is via DefaultData now, with drive letter updating only. Testing of the launcher would be nice.
To check: the resources size seems wrong, I may not have included the right modules, I'll need to check that, but no time to recompile and reupload now.Fixed in PR2
Thanks Chris = )

ImportError: No module named parsetab
Installed over top of previous version and had this error message pointing to the error report below on first and subsequent runs. Doesn't open up app. Not sure if this differs from above post but thought I'd post just in case.

Sorry about this issue guys, I'll try and sort it out soon.

And I've fixed the resources and the parsetab.py issue.
Thanks for testing it!

I've been using BPBible for some time now and have always wanted to thank you for the work you have put into it. It is fast, and works very well.
Have just installed 0.4.4 PR 2 to my PortableApps folder on my desktop and also to my USB. On the USB I had to reinstall other books that were previously installed - this did not happen to the desktop installation.
On both installations, when I close the application, it first reduces the window before it completely exits. This is easier noticed when exiting from the slower USB.
...best wishes always!
The unmaximize and then hide thing is a BPBible thing. I've asked Ben about it (my brother, the main BPBible developer) but he won't do anything about it. One of these days I might get round to seeing if I can fix it myself to hide the window first, and see if that works.
You had to reinstall other books - where were they stored? That shouldn't happen at all. Could you please provide me with some more details so I can try to work out what might have happened? Were all your resources in BPBiblePortable\Data\resources? Did you install the latest version with the additional resources selected or unselected? I'm guessing that you had it selected and it removed the directory before writing to it for some reason. If so, I'll need to find out details from the PortableApps.com Installer and probably fix a bug in it, or maybe just add a PreserveDirectory directive in App\AppInfo\installer.ini.
Thanks for testing this!

... and a BIG thank You to Ben too.
Yes, the books were all stored in the default location by the previous install BPBible\Data\resources\modules... And I installed this latest version with additional resources selected.
Let me know if I should try it again by reinstalling the old version on my USB and then repeating install of 0.4.4 PR2.
I should be the one to thank you, Ben, and all the good folk at Portableapps.com
Cheers.
