Copy Rocketdock From Program Files To a folder in documents or a usb
double click on rocketdock and then when il loads open settings and look for save setting in a .ini file and select that, uninstall rocket dock and you can use the one you copied to a folder, and there u are,let me no how u get on,i did it a while ago and lost it due 2 accidently formatting my d drive
I've done all that, got myself a new portable app!
Works really well this one, I almost have no need for the windows menu at all.
I've been looking for so long for a better way to launch PA.c, never mind the goodies inside and this is it. You can even put My Computer on there and manage your system! Control Panel, network the lot.
It has things called Docklets (also open source) that let you have other elements of the OS, such as Volume, really cool and you can even execute scripts for other portable applications too. Just add an icon and there you have it a program launcher that takes nothing away from PA.c or any other menu but enchances the experience overall.
slow? well, if you use it as a main menu I suppose. I just have apps I use that I don't autostart in there. Apps that I don't use all that often are in the menu. Apps that I use once in a great while are in another folder.
You can write plug ins with Lau though But I don't know that language.

Lua was also implemented in Rockbox...
But yes, I wish I could use it as a main menu, but only until it gets (a lot) faster, categories, or plugins (I like poking stuff).

is still the killer app for all portable apps, since it re-scans at every start up, there just needs to be more features like user defined categories, incremental backups and folder structures behind the scenes.
rocket dock and co
Try this
Seriously man, we don't support their software

Good little soft though.
I use it to "launch" PA.c and the a-suite.
Works a real treat, now I can get rid of the start menu altogether, as this was the goal of PortableApps in the first place no?
It's supposed to be a familiar way to launch PApps. Although you may not bew the only one not using as a second start menu 8·i

Not really. Appetizer is draggable, and has fewer themes/docklets. I like appetizer, but what killed it for me was that it's slow...

and that's commercial software
not Appetizer is open source see https://portableapps.com/node/19379

so why can't it "bring to front" PA.c ?
