Good little soft though. I

Good little soft though.

I use it to "launch" PA.c and the a-suite.

Works a real treat, now I can get rid of the start menu altogether, as this was the goal of PortableApps in the first place no?

EspaÑaks (not verified)
No

It's supposed to be a familiar way to launch PApps. Although you may not bew the only one not using as a second start menu 8·i

Thank you. I've done all

Thank you.

I've done all that, got myself a new portable app!

Works really well this one, I almost have no need for the windows menu at all.

I've been looking for so long for a better way to launch PA.c, never mind the goodies inside and this is it. You can even put My Computer on there and manage your system! Control Panel, network the lot.

It has things called Docklets (also open source) that let you have other elements of the OS, such as Volume, really cool and you can even execute scripts for other portable applications too. Just add an icon and there you have it a program launcher that takes nothing away from PA.c or any other menu but enchances the experience overall.

Thanks whoever you are Punklabs.

Appetizer

Not really. Appetizer is draggable, and has fewer themes/docklets. I like appetizer, but what killed it for me was that it's slow...

slow? well, if you use it as

slow? well, if you use it as a main menu I suppose. I just have apps I use that I don't autostart in there. Apps that I don't use all that often are in the menu. Apps that I use once in a great while are in another folder.

You can write plug ins with Lau though Biggrin But I don't know that language.

Lua

Lua was also implemented in Rockbox...
But yes, I wish I could use it as a main menu, but only until it gets (a lot) faster, categories, or plugins (I like poking stuff).

PA.c

is still the killer app for all portable apps, since it re-scans at every start up, there just needs to be more features like user defined categories, incremental backups and folder structures behind the scenes.
