RunWindowed=true works great, but doesn't put the window in the center. As it captures the mouse even if it's on the title, you also can't move it to the center manually. So basically you have to face the left side of the screen all the time.
BTW, please remember to put this setting in the regular AssaultCubePortable.ini file next time.
I'd like other people to comment on this.
I just tried it and it was pretty centered. Not exactly in the middle but not too far off either.
And yes I already have a copy working with the other ini.

but it doesn't really bother me.
Does it really matter? You could use ClickyGone (portable) still in beta from this website if you want to hide AssaultCube.
or have a full sized window for work open and then just alt tab to it when the boss shows up.

I simply don't want this to take full control of the screen. I want to see other apps in the background.
So please just center this window. Surely there's some command that divides height/width in two and puts it in those coordinates.
Its not that simple.
It supports passing the hight and width of the window via command line switches. But those are absolute numbers (the defaults are -w1024 and -h768) so if the screen is smaller I'd have to get the screen resolution and have it pass a fraction of it to the program.
Thats the theory - I don't know if it works that way and if it still looks good.
Thinking about it I had an idea: I let the user specify it using the ini.

Use your own script to get the current resolution and pass the needed command line parameters accordingly.
but if I pass the hight/weight of the screen you will have an almost fullscreen mode.
I could just subtract a fix number (say 50 or 100) but that might look weired because it wouldn't be relative to the overall screen size.

I think you think I have a problem with the window's size. I don't. My only problem is with its x/y coordinates. It sticks to the left instead of being in the center of the screen.
I fully understand your problem.
The way I understand AssaultCube, you can only set the size of the window (ie width/hight) but not the place where it is. Thats why I keep talking about window size
EDIT:
I just found a post about it in their forums:

Doesnt offer any help except for a "You´re not really supposed to play windowed. I don't understand why people want that."

Which is why it has the mouse grabbing issue and why I ditched the question about windowed vs full screen in the initial run and kept it as full-screen.
Basic answer, the app, as designed, is made to run full screen. If you want a better windowed mode, you'll need to ask the app developers. But, I'm guessing they don't get many requests and, thus, don't see the logic in spending time in it, since it's made to be played full screen (like any FPS).
