Has anyone tried using only the thunderbird portable from a memory stick and not putting it on a HD? I would like to synce my portable (from memory stick) with my thuunderbird on my computer HD at a location where I don't have access to the internet. I haven't found a way to make it work, so am thinking about working only from TBPortable on my memory stick. Is this feasible?
and many people including myself do that. I have no TB on any windows instaled, using the portable one only.

I haven't found a way to both run from my HD and sync without problems due to different relative paths.

identical data on your usb stick and the computer hard drive that you use most often?
Yes, that would be correct. I live in W. Africa and don't have internet access at my home. I write e-mail messages and work with my e-mail at the house, then take my computer to the office and connect to the internet there. I would like to just carry my usb stick back and forth rather than needing to carry my computer.
