Hi,
3 days ago, I have started with PortableApps and it is really fantastic. The USB-Stick is my new best friend
But what a pity. I miss the following Apps (all OpenSource or Freeware):
LingoPad
Undelete Plus
Mp3Tag
MediaInfo
MPC HomeCinema 1.5.0.2827 (http://mpc-hc.sourceforge.net/)
Media Player Classic 6.4.9.1 build 104 (http://sourceforge.net/projects/guliverkli2/)
GSpot
GPU-Z
CPU-Z
Ethereal for Windows
Slow
kindly regards
Tom
do a search for CPU-z and GPOU-z as i am sure you will find some infor on it. media info was done and from the site is naturaly portable iirc. mediaplayerclassic relies on the codecs built into the OS and isnt very portable last i used it. use VLC instead.
mp3tag was requested before too.
well this name is not used for years I think, it is called wireshark today and portable version is at:
http://www.wireshark.org/download.html
it is even in paf format , but well such utils can not be portable really, since they need to install this and thhat before running (it will be uninstalled when closed properly) and so full admin rights are needed.
I am also not sure if w7 64bit version is up now, it used to be kind of problem on 64bit os.

Yes, you are correct. I have used an old ethereal version the whole time and had not notice the change.
thanks!
... as dev tests already:
Mp3Tag
MediaInfo (outdated...)
MPC HomeCinema
John has commented on Wireshark here.
And you could simply add standalone apps to the menu by yourself.
Official releases would bring the benefit of autoupdating, though.
Thanks for your answer.
I will shut up
Unfortunately, just because an app is freeware doesn't mean we can package it without permission. We can only do that with OSS.
I've attempted to get permission to portabilize both GPU-Z and CPU-Z, and both requests were denied.
Here's the relevant thread on the GPU-Z forums: http://www.techpowerup.com/forums/showthread.php?t=129914
I didn't personally try to get permission for CPU-Z, but I talked to the PortableApps user who did, and IIRC he said the dev wasn't interested. That might be worth revisiting, but I don't have the time to take on another app atm.
