JPEGView Portable 1.0.23 has been released. JPEGView is a small and fast viewer/editor for JPEG, BMP, PNG, GIF and TIFF images. On-the-fly image processing is provided - allowing to adjust typical parameters as sharpness, color balance, contrast and local under-/overexposure. It's packaged in PortableApps.com Format so it can easily integrate with the PortableApps.com Suite. And it's open source and completely free. Read on for more details...
PortableApps.com Platform 2.0 Beta 5 users who already have this app installed, simply click 'Check for Updates' in your PA.c Menu to update to the new version.
Features
JPEGView provides an unobtrusive interface to image viewing with most controls only appearing on mouse-over of the window or the lower section of the window (for image processing controls). It has a simple black-background and an optional full-screen mode enabling you to look at your images without distraction.
PortableApps.com Installer / PortableApps.com Format
JPEGView Portable is packaged in a PortableApps.com Installer so it will automatically detect an existing PortableApps.com installation when your drive is plugged in. It supports upgrades by installing right over an existing copy, preserving all settings. And it's in PortableApps.com Format, so it automatically works with the PortableApps.com Suite including the Menu and Backup Utility.

Oh
I had this sitting on my desk ready to be sent to you today but you were faster. Its missing some improvements of mine (gdiplus for Win2k compatibility) but they'll be back in the next release.
Busy
I thought you were busy since it's been out about 10 days. I just wanted it off the outdated apps list
its ok
I was till a couple of days ago. Now I have time to do the latest Atomic Tanks
So... is that the reason that
So... is that the reason that this download is half the size (only 766 kb) of the previous version's 1,526 kb? Or was it additional 'magic'?
Just curious.
yes
The missing 760 kb is exactly the size of the gdiplus.dll I added a while back because someone told me JPEGView would otherwise not work on Windows 2000.

ok
Let me look into it. I need to make sure changing the ini doesn't have any bad side effects.
EDIT: Looks ok. Does it work for you as expected with PortableFileAssociator if you change the ini?
I will post in the sf.net thread too.
Works fine with PFA
It seems to be working fine when the file associations and made with PFA.
I would prefer there to be an option to use the same viewer, instead of open a new instance. Hopefully the developer will include this option in later releases.
Back to SinglePortableAppInstance=true
The latest update changed my edit to SinglePortableAppInstance=true again. Was there a reason for this?
Overwritten
All files in the
App
andOther
folders are overwritten when the app is updated. Except when the app support plugins.Think about it
It would be very bad if it didn't update those files - you wouldn't get modifications and improvements to the launcher.
Any changes you make are unsupported and will need to be redone by you for every release.
What I meant..
I meant that I thought the setting was going to be changed with the update, as the this way it does not have the same behaviour as the installed version.
I was asking whether any problem with this setting was found, as it was not used in the update.
Reading back, I did not phrase it very well.
No reason
Just me not making notes why I changed it.
I changed it back to true without thinking about why I had changed it to false. You can safely change it in your copy and I will change it in my copy too (I hope for the last time :))
