After update to v8 Ffx keeps crashing and displays the crash window to send data to Mozilla. I included my email for them in case its more their fault than yours Wink

EDIT: tried d/l installer then used Platform Manage Apps/Install a New App. Didn't work. Then tried updating a copy of a Backup still crashed!

As always, comments in a news story isn't the proper place for support. We have dedicated forums for that. Likely it's an extension or plugin as it's completely stable for most folks.

The bug mentioned in This Thread is still present (RunLocally=true causes some extensions to appear incompatible due to incorrect path in extensions.sqlite), this is easily fixed by removing "ORIGINAL" from $ORIGINALPROFILEDIRECTORY on line 340 (as stated in my comment on that thread).  Weird, that fix worked before, I'll have to look at what changes happened since then to see how this should be fixed with the new version (sorry).

We'll likely just dump support for live mode in Firefox Portable. If you can find a fix that works with 8+, lemme know. Otherwise, we'll simply call this WONTFIX. The only folks who seem to be using it seem to be creating custom profiles of Firefox for distribution on CD (which is not permitted under the trademark guidelines) instead of the intended purpose of being able to demonstrate Firefox off CD or use it for personal use.

I forgot about the forums !!!
