Keeps crashing...
After update to v8 Ffx keeps crashing and displays the crash window to send data to Mozilla. I included my email for them in case its more their fault than yours
EDIT: tried d/l installer then used Platform Manage Apps/Install a New App. Didn't work. Then tried updating a copy of a Backup still crashed!

As always, comments in a news story isn't the proper place for support. We have dedicated forums for that. Likely it's an extension or plugin as it's completely stable for most folks.
Incorrect Use of OriginalProfileDirectory still present:

We'll likely just dump support for live mode in Firefox Portable. If you can find a fix that works with 8+, lemme know. Otherwise, we'll simply call this WONTFIX. The only folks who seem to be using it seem to be creating custom profiles of Firefox for distribution on CD (which is not permitted under the trademark guidelines) instead of the intended purpose of being able to demonstrate Firefox off CD or use it for personal use.
