The only thing I can think of is that Libre (and some other programs)
have issuses if you upgrade a OS (7-8 upgrade) rather then just do a new install (7 - 8 Full/New).
firstly, 3.6.4 also fails to run on windows 7 thus there is nothing to do with any ungrade or windows 8;
secondly, my windows 8 is a new install (8 Full/New);
thirdly, libre's previous version (the version before 3.6.4) works fine on windows 7 and windows 8 alike.
i am not sure i kept that previous version or not.
any chance i can have that previous version from portableapps.com?
I am running on Win 7 and have no problems. I normally run just calc but I also fired up writer and did a brief test. Version is Version 3.6.4.3 (Build ID: 2ef5aff)
I use windows 7 starter, service pack 1, spanish. LO version 4, does not run. Even if I run it as administrator. Neither run its launcher or its individual starter programs (for calc, write, etc.)
