Let's say there's 5 individual components to a portable app that can be run separately. How would I create 5 individual launchers? Is it even possible with the official launcher generator?
I thought that if you defined each launcher you want in the launcher.ini file, and had all the appicons in place, the generator would create whatever you defined, but instead I only got one launcher.
PAL supports only one unless you rename the AppID temporarily within appinfo.ini. Note that we don't recommend apps with more than one icon anymore. The only exception is LibreOffice/OpenOffice because that truly is multiple apps. Secondary/minor bits are not recommended to have other icons.
Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
let me ask a question then. How would you handle a program that has multiple components? The app is Portable Python available at http://portablepython.com.
I received the author's permission to use his implimentation of Portable Python, and wanted to make a PAF version of it. His download includes 5 launchers. It has the command line and the GUI implementation of Python, as well as Glade, PyScripter, and PyQt.
Would you drop out the extra parts of this and just to the command line or the GUI version only, without the add-ons? I was hoping to keep it all intact. My project page is at https://portableapps.com/node/33805, but the download available was using someone else's launcher from an older version on the PA site. Even those launchers provided only the command line and the GUI for Python.
I would appreciate any thoughts you might have on this. Thank you...

your reply and saw that you did, in fact mention how to fix this. While it's not the preferred method, or one that I'll want to continue in the future, for now, it will allow me to release the long overdue update.
