PDF Editors tend not to be free

I can't see why your suggestion is any better than any of the "almost working but not quite" ones already available.

I also think this should be in RequestApps

Not quite what you asked for....

But you can edit PDFs with LibreOffice Portable. It will silently convert to .odg in the process, but you can export them back to PDF when you are done editing.

It isn't pretty, but it does work.

Learn something new every day

Thanks, winterblood, I really mean that. I didn't know there was such a simple solution right before me. For my modest pdf editing needs that is ample. Considering the frequency that I need to edit pdf files the prettiness is a non-issue.

Note to self: delete the changes you made to your resume Smile

damoun: is the solution winterblood suggests good enough for you?

Edit: I've checked with DiffPDF and I am a happy bunny, thanks again, winterblood

in case damoun or anyone else needs to find it as it is in Utilities rather than Office where I think it belongs. John thinks Utilities is the right place, nuff said, he isn't always right but it is his place to be wrong.
