Running Thunderbird Portable under wine?

Running SuSE 9.2. Installed Thunderbird Portable 2.0.0.5 onto a Windows USB stick. Mounted the USB stick onto /dev/sda1, then attempted to run "wine ThunderbirdPortable.exe". This produced the following error messages:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
fixme:win:SetWindowTextA cannot set text "Mozilla Thunderbird, Portable Edition | PortableApps.com" of other process window (nil)
fixme:win:SetWindowTextA cannot set text "Mozilla Thunderbird, Portable Edition | PortableApps.com" of other process window (nil)
fixme:seh:EXC_RtlRaiseException call to unimplemented function oleaut32.dll.OleLoadPicturePath
wine: Unhandled exception (thread 0009), starting debugger...
fixme:console:SetConsoleCtrlHandler (0x4060f3e0,1) - no error checking or testing yet
WineDbg starting on pid 0x8
Unhandled exception: unimplemented function oleaut32.dll.OleLoadPicturePath called in 32-bit code (0x410d9053).
In 32 bit mode.
0x410d9053 __wine_unimplemented in oleaut32: addl $12,%esp
It looks like oleaut32.dll is missing (which indeed it is).
What do I do now?
Aha! Methinks you have hit the nail on the head, John. SuSE says it is an ALPHA version, version # 20040813-7. If that's a date in the version number, it's very old. I tried online updating, but the only updated versions I could find were for SuSE 9.3 and later. I must follow this up.
