Greetings Leinan,
And Welcome to PortableApps.com
Check out the two threads below:
Read both of them Fully and Carefully:
https://portableapps.com/node/13046
https://portableapps.com/node/8121
Note these discuss FFP2 not FFP3RC but unless Mozilla has changed something it should be about the same:
Basically you need to place:
np-mswmp.dll into:
x:\PATH\FirefoxPortable\Data\Plugins
This is a Plugin to the Full version of WMP and therefore will only work on a machine which has WMP, which should be all Windows machines. That's how most, but not all, Plugins work.
You will get the file np-mswmp.dll by extracting it from the installer mentioned in the links above or by copying it from an existing FF install that has it already.
and again, Welcome
Tim
Things have got to get better, they can't get worse, or can they?
Hi Tim thanks for welcoming me here. I think "chrisnh" reply
"i don't think this would work on a system that doesn't have wmp or it's core installed already. is there a way to make firefox show wmp streams without having to have wmp or it's core installed? thanks"
and your reply is like what i have in mind. Coz' i already did what are others suggesting before I read your reply but still no luck. I extracted the np-mswmp.dll to C:\Program Files\FirefoxPortableTest\Data\Plugins and i also d/l the plugin file from the link provided.
I just hope that there's a workaround. Thanks!
So,
The machine has the normal/standard/full version of Windows Media Player.
You have put a copy of np-mswmp.dll in ...\FirefoxPortableTest\Data\Plugins .
What happens when you go to a site using FFP that has Windows Media Player type content on it?

Pardon me Tim i haven't said that my pc didn't have the WMP installed. In "chrisnh" post he says that the plugin will not work if WMP is not installed and i think i agree with that. That's why i said if there's a workaround with this. I love using portable on my pc and laptop (not to mention that you can use it in almost all pc's) that's why i don't bother to install WMP. I'm using VLC instead, didn't occur to me that i might need WMP in some site that needs it to be able to play video.
I went to these sites
http://dai-videotutes.blogspot.com/2007/07/click-to-play_14.html
http://dai-videotutes.blogspot.com/2007/07/click-to-play.html

and nothing happens.
I see said the Blind Man
"chrisnh" is correct.
The plugin will NOT work if WMP is not installed.
This is true of most, but not all, plugins, they "plug into" the main program on your computer. If you do not have the program on your machine they have nothing to "plug into".
I've just never encountered a standard modern Windows machine that didn't come with some version of WMP preinstalled.

There are some folder "plugins", so maybe you should try all.
Try copy to this "FirefoxPortableTest\App\firefox\plugins".
Hope that helps
Hope that helps
Sorry but I don't think so?
I have absolutely No Idea of what you are trying to say in relation to what has been discussed so far ???

@loveleeyoungae
Nope that does'nt work either. Anyway i'm just trying if anyone got a workaround with this but if its really impossible guess that's that it. Thanks for replying though.
@Tim
Thanks for your help.
