Toucan 2.1.1 Released

Toucan logoToucan 2.1.1 has been released. Toucan is a tool for advanced users that allows you to sync, backup and secure files on your portable device. This release builds upon the 2.1.0 release with a number of bug fixes and updates. Settings can now also be applied without restarting Toucan. There is also a change to Backup Differential. It's packaged in PortableApps.com Format for easy use from any portable device and integration with the PortableApps.com Suite. And it's open source and completely free.

It has all the same great features of Notepad++ including support for multiple languages and an extensive plugin system, but there's nothing to install. This release updates Notepad++ to 5.4.4. The PortableApps.com Installer allows you to quickly package your portable apps in an easy-to-use installer without having to write or compile any code. This removes some unneeded warnings from logs, fixes a bug with custom CloseEXE and corrects an issue in the Japanese translation. No changes need to be made to existing PortableApps.com Format apps with this release. The PortableApps.com Format Specification and installer are now available for outside developers to use and can be used freely with free open source and freeware applications. Commercial use is available by contacting PortableApps.com.
