    Ultimate Video Converter 2.7.0.0 Portable

    Submitted by tilal6991 on March 25, 2010 - 4:05pm

This is an application that I made myself but I am in no way self promoting it. It's called Ultimate Video Converter and as you can guess it is a video converter. I have been a avid follower of PortableApps.com for quite some time and I decided that it would be a good idea to release the application as a PortableApps.com 2.0 Installer as I have not seen any video converters released on the website. The application is programmed in .NET (which I realise can never be truly portable, but oh well!). It is released under the GPLv3 and is hosted on SourceForge.

    Casino BlackJack Portable:
    Category: Games
Description: This is my first attempt at making a Java .jar executable in PortableApps Format. I received permission from the original compiler to try to make it portable. Right now my biggest problem is that I can not hook it into the VM. There by all the graphics are pretty shot. I am posting this in hopes of getting some help with it. Hence the reason it is an alpha version

    [Outdated] PortableApps.com Launcher 2.0 Beta 2

This thread is outdated; 2.0 Beta 3 is now available.

The PortableApps.com Launcher is your PAL in making applications portable. It's a universal launcher for which you don't need to write code. Instead, it's configured with an INI file (which goes in App\AppInfo\Launcher\AppNamePortable.ini), and uses a splash screen in App\AppInfo\Launcher\splash.jpg.

    EDIT: 2011-02-15

    1) I download regular paf installer for SeaMonkey 2.0.11 (latest stable) from here
https://portableapps.com/apps/internet/seamonkey_portable and installed on PC (internal HDD).

    2) OK, I have SeaMonkey Portable 2.0.11 stable on my computer.

    Eject Under Windows 7 Starter

    Submitted by dhartsoc on March 19, 2010 - 2:23pm

I have been using 2.0 Beta 4 since it was available and have been impressed with it. Only recently have I stumbled on a problem, and that is on my wife's netbook running Window 7 Starter edition.

Clicking on the Eject button, the OS will tell me it is safe to remove the device. However, the drive light remains on. That makes me a little nervous. The first time I had this happen, the next time I used my USB stick the OS suggested it had not shut down properly, and did I want to check and repair any errors. Have not seen this message again.
