In addition to a portable HDD with Toucan I use a PDA running Windows CE which comes with an application called ActiveSync that synchronises the PDA and a PC continuously as changes are made to files on either device.

Is there any chance that a feature of this sort could / will be added to Toucan?

I have noticed that the only file verification prog in PA is the md5check, and so I thought I might try to add my own program DySFV wich is a bit more graphical, and checks sfv files (but not md5 yet).
As far as portability goes, it is portable as it is, there are no settings, and the database for remembering hashed files is always located in the same dir.

I've set up a temporary development wiki on my site to work on until the PAF is finalised and I can start editing the development pages. These wiki pages will probably shape how the new development section ends up, so go wild. I'm almost 100% sure I'm going to copy over the contents of it later.

I signed up for a Sourceforge account on Sunday and still hadn't received an email on whether is was approved/disapproved/whatever by today (Thursday). Today I go to SF and check out my account as there maybe some little clue there. Guess what? I was approved back last Monday! Either they didn't send me a confirmation email or Gmail's spam filtering software got it.

Point of this post is...login to your SF acct and see if the project is approved or not as you might miss the email.

How do you change a regular app, say (opera),or any other app to a portable app? Why, because I'm trying to get my opera browser to save it's history etc.inside of the usb stick and not the computer!

I know how to change your usb-stick or other drive Label.
go to the root directory and double-click autorun.inf, if you dont see autorun.inf go to tools (extra) map options (mapopties) and then go to view and click on display hidden icons. in autorun.inf change label= PortableApps to Label=[your own label here] and ready is cees.

I need help. I'm trying to set up a way to set the path for the programs, and set /P looks good, but it requires that commandline extensions are enabled, and it's nowhere near a given that a Windows box will have them enabled. How would I enable extensions while the batch file is being run, and return the status to what it was when it terminates?

I was curious what the development status on musikCube was. I think it's a great media player, and PortableApps.com could use something a little more advanced in the way of libraries than VLC Media Player. John, you said you do have permission do work make up a portable version of Sunbird today or yesterday, but I know you have a lot to do, so I'm not expecting it any time soon.
