So I insist:
an OCR to use wherever you are would be useful for a lot of people

I know, GOCR is not the very best, but it seems to respond to the requirements of portable apps:

Hello everybody, here i go again, after trying to find a nice video editing tool i have a question, can the virtual dub be made with codecs integrated? i am looking for one portable video/audio editing tool with integrated codecs, is it possible?

Maybe it is possible to create a portable version of it. It's written in Java, but I think that doesn't seem to be a problem.

I think that with the fact that a lot of IT guys may use this program as well, this might be a good one to add.

I am willing to try and do what is necessary to try get this going, I just don't understand where to start or what to do.

We need registry cleaner and defraggler and recovring file that we lost or deleted for our PC.

You already have GIMP, why not Inkscape? Anyone with me?

You guys should totally make portable apps for linux... That will probably help boost donations as well as give us awsome linux users something to look forward to so we dont have to keep windows on our comps.

ConTEXT is a small, fast and powerful freeware text editor, developed to serve as a secondary tool for software developers.

I think, that ConTEXT is very good app, and it's better than Notepad++, and i'll be really proud if i would see it's portable edition.

S3 Browser is available and is supposed to be Opensource and portable but I have trouble getting it to upload large files. Specifically I'm trying to upload my backup files created from PortableApps and it just seems to sit and sit forever on 2-3 percent.

I'm willing to try other suggestions too.
