I really think that Toucan won't be used by 1/2 of the people on this planet until it's easier to use by lazy people (i.e. me, Patrick).
If I knew AU3, I would write a plugin that interfaces Toucan's CMD, but I don't know how.
Perhaps other plugins would be:
Dual Pane (like Totalcommander, it would make people go crazy)
Cookie Crumbs (like Vista's Explorer)
etc.
Insert original signature here with Greasemonkey Script.
Toucan doesn't need to be easier to use by 'lazy people'. It is easy to use, I'm just to lazy to do regular backups and such, specially now that I'm without a Windows install.
For the record, dual pane is coming, I think it's in the help file to-do. What is 'etc'. You can't leave him with 'etc'.
This program is a portable file manager. Most computers with Windows already got a file manager called Explorer built in, you've probably used it already when browsing, opening and managing files on your computer.
But this program (Xenon) works better from a portable memory.
Xenon is more lightweight, can carry your file associations, folder bookmarks, is easier to customize with your own icon set and language and it has tabs. Besides from that, it should work just like any file manager.

I have tried the programme several times, it would be very handy if it worked, i really like the concept and its features.
But unfortunately I keep getting the same bug as torontoprogrammer. And not only when I try opening files but also just to open normal folders, "-line 1 cannot find external application" -and xenon shuts down. I have never managed to use it normally, because most of the times sooner rather than later it exits this way.
edit: oh and I forgot, on some occasions when I try to change settings, it just freezes forever. I haven't yet managed to figure out, what exactly I did, I will try to note it down next time it happens. All these happens on a XP-SP2, XP-SP3 and Vista computer.
edit2: I've played around a bit more with it, and there is three more things I've observed:
1. It does not remember the view settings (e.g. detailed view)
2. The file association only works with executables on the same drive. This means, that common applications like MSWord or Excel cannot be associated. I'm happy there is an OpenOffice alternative, but if there is MSWord on the computer I rather use this (much faster, still enough but less bugs).
3. For some reason I constantly lose folders that I double click (honestly, just double click!), and I find they have been moved into another folder, as if I had dragged them somewhere while double-clicking. This is very annoying. Maybe there is some reaction lag or so which makes this happen.
Just a minor bug. When maximizing the 'Xenon Search' window, the 'Search' and 'Cancel' buttons disappear, but you can find them in the wrong location but hovering under the 'Filename' section a bit.
Please tell me the date of the last update.
Simplifying daily life through technology
I've got June 9th on my file, and June 8th is stated in his comment. (Probably just a difference in time zones)
Which one will be listed in test releases?
Edit: Never mind. I'll use his date.

I made an icon theme from the 'Oxygen' icons used in KDE4 for personal use and decided to polish it up and release it.
All the credits go to the folks at www.oxygen-icons.org. The icon theme is released under Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike 3.0 Unported as stated on their website.

The icon theme has the advantage of being both slick and sharp.

I just tried download a couple times, I believe the file is corrupted.
Broken.
7-Zip self extractor starts, then breaks, saying it can't extract it.
Please re-upload it, as it should be good!

I've repackaged it as a simple zip file:

The self extractor did work on my computer though...

This program works well but what can you do with this program?
(I've never had this kind of program before)
