It would be nice if you could access the portable apps via a right-click to the desktop that could open a context menu instead of a graphical menu
Is this possible?

Well, there is Convey, which copys shortcuts to the Send To folder so you can access it through a right click. Keep in mind this is severely outdated (It hasn't been updated in almost two years), but there are plans to add it's functionality into an updated app, eXpresso. Regardless of it's outdated-ness, Convey should probably get the job done for you.

Hoped this will also be on Toucan for easy encrypting ,decrypting.
I'm definitely interested in this for my home desktops. It will be a great day when I can reinstall a hefty chunk of my programs and their right-click associations just by copying them to the hard drive.
I'm not adventuresome enough to try betas without hearing a review or two first. Does the eXpresso beta pretty much do what the end product is supposed to do? Also, is there anything like that at www.pendriveapps.com or another flash/portable software web site?
Thanks!
