we have a wonderful tool available on this site called the search function most stuff like mingw is already in development testing, as for virtual box that requires admin privileges to install drivers to make it function which makes it nearly impossible to portablized as not every PC has administrative privileges like library computers etc

Maybe Zach you should develop a new program? A PortableApps Search program, then you could release it (of course it would need to be in PortableApps format)

I dunno, may require the need of a driver

some notes have been given to virtual box, here some more:
truecrypt
it is as portable as possible on itself, there is no need to make it portable even more as there is no use for it. To use truecrypt as designed, drivers need to be installed and therefore no way to be portable ever.
vidalia
it is just a front end for configuring Tor. It has alone no functionality at all. As there is no point in using Tor alone without any 'torriffied' programs, then there is no use for vidalia too.
Vidalia is one part of the Tor browser bundle supplied by torproject.org and is available from : https://www.torproject.org/projects/torbrowser.html.en
It is strictly not recommended to use tor in any other configuration as it will very likely bypass the tor network.
gpg4win
use gpg4usb instead, it is the portable version of it. If you can live with all the bugs of gpg4win, you will be happy with gpg4usb too.

Hello ottosykora,
I just wanted to clarify that gpg4usb has nothing to do with gpg4win (instead of course that they're both gpg frontends).
Best regards.
So, I managed to take some time and I think I have BlueGriffon portable and working properly. You can find the release page here. Please tell me if there's any problems and I'll try to fix them sooner than later. Enjoy!
