I'm posting this in the General Discussion forum since there is no support forum for Mnemosyne Portable. I'm sorry if as a newbie poster I'm violating any forum rule. This is my first message.
A few years ago I discovered Mnemosyne Portable (https://portableapps.com/apps/education/mnemosyne_portable) and used it ever since.
When Mnemosyne Portable was updated to version 2.1 I tried it enthusiastically, but I felt it was too buggy for me (the bugs are obviously caused by Mnemosyne itself, not the portabilization) so I kept using version 1.2.2 instead.
The current version of Mnemosyne is now 2.2.1, but Portable Apps still offers version 2.1. So I was wondering if there are plans to update the app.

Also, I know there is a portable version of Anki in development (www.portableapps.com/node/27047), but I guess it was abandoned since March 2011.
Once again, I'm sorry if I unwittingly violated any rule. I just wanted to know more about a possible Mnemosyne Portable release.

First, welcome to PortableApps.com
Second, we have an 'Other Apps' support forum for apps which don't have their own.
Third, we have an outdated apps thread specifically so people can let us know when an app is out of date accessible via the Development link above. Some publishers who don't do their own apps don't let us know when there is an update, so we don't know. I've added it to the out of date list here:

Fourth, as to Anki, it looks like that developer has abandoned that test release. You can ask someone else to take a look via the Request Apps forum if no one sees it here.

Thanks for the update! Generally, support for apps that don't have their forum goes here however, as you're reporting an out of date app, that can be done here instead. You didn't know, and we aren't going to hold that against you.
As for Anki, unless someone else picks it up, it does appear to be abandoned for now.
[EDIT] we should look into a "someone else posted while you were typing" extension...Maybe after the drupal 7 upgrade.
