In fact, I have already a "MY DOCUMENTS" folder on my USB Key (F:\My Documents) of which I will want to preserve.
How can I make for renaming this file and change it place for it's recognizing by PortableApps?

You cant

The current version of the Menu cannot change folder locations.
Maybe a future release can.

I'd really like to be able to change my default paths as well...

I have two USB/MP3 players which both have their own propriety folder structure. I would like the ability to mod portapps built-in shortcuts to point to my folders rather than having its own which I ignore. So when I click on Change the default links for documents, music, video, etc they go to my existing drives rather than the folders created by portapps. Of course I could move all my oggs into the music folder and my avis into the video folder but then my mediaplayer wouldn't work or I'd have to browse everytime I wanted to listen to music etc.

Is this under consideration? I see the default document option is being considered in terms of not using the desktop say a simple ini file in the portapps directory that allowed you to setup the paths to your own folders?

I Concur

I too have folders on my thumb drive labeled "My Documents", "My Music", "My Pictures and "My Videos". After so many years of Micro$oft using that naming convention, many users around the world have folders automatically named this way.

The major problem I have is due to the fact that I synchronize files with my computer, that way I have immediately access to all of my data. So I have to keep renaming folders on the thumb drive just so they work with the PortableApps menu.

It would be MUCH better if future versions of the PortableApps menu allowed the user to change the path for these folders.

Here.

Use this mod. Be warned, it's unsupported by PortableApps.com, but it's got lots of great features.

almost good

Your mod works really fine! Congratulations! Well, what I feel missing: a way to create new shortcuts to folders. A way to group some program shortcuts into a folder. For instance, all openoffice links into one folder. Despite this, I was happy to change the language to Portuguese, up to now, no bugs.

Not Mine / Catgories.

The mod isn't mine, check in the "Beta Testing" forums for "PortableApps Menu Mod R30", it should be near the top, it now has categories.

I haven't added categories yet, but you can also take a look at my menu Here

In English would Be good

The fix that has been made would be good in English. I agree that changing the directory location would be great.

You can ...

...do that but it requires that you edit and re-compile the NSIS-script
to reflect your desired DIR-structure .

.

It's a Delphi/Pascal script, not NSIS.
