OpenOffice and Audacity leave files??

After the discovery of ClamWin leaving files, I tested all the other apps and found the same problem in OOPortable.
This time its:
C:\Dokumente und Einstellungen\[username]\Lokale Einstellungen\Temp\nsy32.tmp\newadvsplash.dll
Is there any pattern newadsplash.dll uses to name these temp folders?

EDIT
Audacity also creates a folder:
C:\Dokumente und Einstellungen\[username]\Lokale Einstellungen\Temp\audacity_1_2_temp\
when Ii launch a fresh copy for the first time.
In addition to that, it creates the newadsplash.dll folder and an
AudacityPortable folder with 2 folders in it:
registry and
temp_files

All folders are deleted by the launcher after closing the app.
Except for the \audacity_1_2_temp\.
If I delete the \audacity_1_2_temp\ folder myself, it isnt recreated when I start it the second time. I guess it must have something to do with the association- and language questions Audacity asks you at first launch.

Any hints/comments/questions???

Shouldn't

It shouldn't be doing that. Try these:

https://portableapps.com/temp/OpenOfficePortable.exe
https://portableapps.com/temp/AudacityPortable.exe

And the directory is NOT created by newadvsplash. It's created by NSIS itself. Always is. It's for plugins (like the registry, system, newadvsplash, etc plugins).

What's the difference?

Hi John,
I'm having the same problem with OOPortable. It leaves a newadvsplash.dll in some nse271.tmp folder even after I close OpenOffice ..

What's the difference between the OOPortable available in the link you provided and the one up for download at
https://portableapps.com/apps/office/openoffice_portable ?

BTW, I launched the Writer / Math / Calc from the Portable Apps Suite menu.

Audacity Updated

I've updated the Audacity Portable package with this fix. Added in a fix to disable the prompt to associate AUP files, too.

There isn't one

Since it's only a 2.4MB download, there is no separate update download. And I haven't posted separate launcher downloads for Audacity Portable in a long time.

UPDATE - Oh, you meant the one in this thread... then no, as the one here doesn't include the AUP and first-run fixes. Unless you don't care about em.
