hi,i'm after some portable software that can do business type cards ,and i've not been able to find anything,does anybody have any suggestions,cheers in advance

You have a few options.
Scribus Portable is made for desktop publishing, and includes the capability of designing business cards.
LibreOffice Portable is an office suite, and also has the capability of designing business cards.
Finally, Inkscape Portable is a vector graphics editor, also well suited to designing business cards.
If we had Gravit Designer it would have been perfect for that:
