Can I force 64 bit?

Hiya.

I have 2 versions of Firefox Portable running on this Windows machine and one loads as 64 bit, and the other as 32 bit. Whatever I do to the second one, it always loads as 32 bit. The ini files are the same, I have even (in desperation) tried changing the FirefoxDirectory to App\firefox64 but nope, even though the image shows as firefox64/firefox.exe it's still a 32 bit image.

Is there a way to force it to load up the 64 bit one? An opposite of AlwaysUse32Bit=true maybe?

This is driving me kind of insane because there seems to be no logic at all to it.

Both are on the same latest version 59.0.2

Reinstall latest version to the same location.

It sounds to me like you don't have the 64-bit binaries in one install.
If I were you. I'd make sure the folder containing the 32-bit binaries was renamed back to what it originally was (I believe that would be "Firefox"), then I'd download the latest Firefox portable installer from https://portableapps.com/apps/internet/firefox_portable and install it over top of your existing install. This won't alter your Data folder, but it will recreate all necessary files in the App directory for the app to run as expected. If the issue continues, I'd recommend using WinMerge or WinMerge 2011 to compare the two installs and find out what's different between the two.

Well! Will you look at that..

Well! Will you look at that... Re-installing worked perfectly. That's so weird though because I installed both copies at the exact same time a couple of years ago, so I wonder how one of them lost the 64 bit parts.

Thanks though!
