Mozilla Thunderbird, Portable Edition Legacy 3.1.19 (email client) Released

Thunderbird logoMozilla Thunderbird, Portable Edition 3.1.19 Legacy has been released. It's the latest Mozilla Thunderbird email client from the older 3.1.x branch bundled with a PortableApps.com launcher as a portable app. It is primarily intended for extension testers. All users are encouraged to upgrade to the current Mozilla Thunderbird, Portable Edition 10 release. This release will install alongside a current Thunderbird Portable install in a ThunderbirdPortableLegacy31 directory by default, though it can also be used to upgrade an existing ThunderbirdPortable installation. This release also adds support for the new-style Java plugin. It's packaged in PortableApps.com Format so it can easily integrate with the PortableApps.com Platform. And it's open source and completely free.

SRWare Iron is 'The browser of the future' - based on the free Sourcecode "Chromium" - but without some features that privacy advocates object to. This release adds support for the new-style Java plugin. It's packaged in PortableApps.com Format so it can easily integrate with the PortableApps.com Platform. And it's open source and completely free.

Iron is packaged for portable use with permission from SRWare.

It's the current Mozilla Firefox browser from the older 3.6 release bundled with a PortableApps.com launcher as a portable app, so you can take your browser, bookmarks, settings and extensions on the go. It's primarily intended for web page testers as all users are highly encouraged to upgrade to the current Mozilla Firefox, Portable Edition 10 release.
