gPodderPortable - Access to gpo.exe Command Line Interface

Submitted by sjiejzlenfle on January 9, 2016 - 5:08pm

Hello,

Is it currently possible to access gPodder's commandline interface (gpo.exe) through the portableApps launcher? I see gpo.exe in the \gPodderPortable\App\gPodderdirectory, but when I call gPodderPortable.exe from the command line, it just seems to start the gui.

Thanks,
Daniel

Chrome silent automatly background installed when sometimes excute portable version

Submitted by hong620 on January 4, 2016 - 8:07am

i just want using 'independented version chrome portable', not the 'install version of chrome'

but something keep forced silent background install 'Chrome' when i excute 'Chrome protable' for using.

i suffered this in many years, but i can't find any solutions of evade this issue.

some of tips says 'change the google service's value in windows policy manager' would be help,

but i tried that seems not work.

what should i do for block the 'without agreement' silent install?

grepWin Portable How To?

Submitted by trust on December 22, 2015 - 6:30pm

Nice app, but as any normal Windows app, it comes without any decent documentation, whatsoever. So I have to ask:

I have a bunch of text files in a directory and I want to find the files which has 2 words, say, 'apple' and 'orange' in it, not necessarily next to each other, but somewhere in the file contains both words. How to proceed finding these files with grepWin?

[Closed] jPortable 8 u66, 32 bits, not working with Firefox Portable 43.0.1

Submitted by PericoPalotes on December 21, 2015 - 10:46pm

jPortable 8 u66, 32 bits, works with FF 35 but not with FF 43.0.1.

- The CommonFiles directory is at the same level as FF 35 and FF 43.
- The add-ons tab in FF 35 shows Java 8 but FF 43 does not.
- FF 35 does not need any changes in the Java Control Panel inside jPortable but I gave it a try and it did not solve the problem.
- I created the preference dom.ipc.plugins.java.enabled in about config for FF 43 and set it to both true and false and this didn't solve the problem, either.

Can anyone tell me what is going on?
