General discussions of portable apps and news.
Hey John, is Rob still joining the development team, or is he staying out on his little island?
I've heard of few people comment on not knowing where to get free icons or that the ones people already have aren't very good. The only place I know of to get free icons is http://interfacelift.com/icons-win/index.php?sort=date. They have Mac., Windows, and Linux icons. If anyone else knows more places to get them I'm sure we would like to hear.
Hello!
I stumbled over PortableApps recently and am very very pleased with the idea and the functionality it provides. This was a really cool idea!
The third version of the GNU General Public License has been finished and published, including a cool looking logo.

Anyway, John, do you have any plans to upgrade to it? It seems to make exclusions easier.

I found it incredibly difficult using it on Windows NT.
I'm getting a massage "portable.exe" caused an error and will be close" something like that.
Is there any other way I can use it on Windows NT?
Has this been discussed, as I always get confused when people are talking about all site related things like the Tracker and stuff, so I'm not sure if this has been mentioned, but it's happened on three separate occasions now, when trying to come to this site I get Drupal error page. Saying;
Unable to connect to database server
And a bunch of stuff about setting up the installation of Drupal if you haven't already.
But what I was mentioning this for is it says says the site login user name, which I feel isn't good since it's one step closer to some hacker trying to get on this site.
Okay... I remember a while back you guys had a hard time with this... and just hit me today.. that my friend of mine actually helped and made the image that you need so that it works in the emulator.... I would gladly host it somewhere if anyone is still interested... and unlike the other links... mine would never go down... for any reason... why.. well.. I cannot say...
This problem has been resolved.
Okay, I tried using Trillian for my flash drive using the tutorial found at http://TrillianAnywhere.com but I had bad luck since it doesn't want to save my preferences.
I was wonder if Miranda IM or GAIM would be able to read an .XML buddy list already made from Trillian.
Thank you,
Alendar
Is it possible to portablize apps w/ all the required net 2.0 files inside
As a few of you may know I had my exams recently and I figured that I probably owed you all an update about what I am working on as I haven't been around much. Firstly I would like to apologise for Lapwing, and then say that I have officially cancelled it, permanently. I put an awful lot of effort into it at the end of last year, and in the rewrite I promised a couple of months ago, but the thing is I wasn't good enough, I just don't have the programming knowledge or skill, I can get very close, i.e.
