Hello,

I would like to report a problem that happened to me when I upgraded to Google Chrome Portable Dev 78.0.3880.4
So, I did successfully upgraded to said version, however, when I opened it, some text appeared under the bookmarks:

You are using an unsupported environment variable: SSLKEYLOGFILE. Stability and security will suffer.

What does it mean and is this a Google issue or not?

My PC details: running Windows 7 64-bit, PA.c Platform installed into the root of my drive (a.k.a. K:\PortableApps.com Platform)

What even happened to the modding scene? there used to be such a HUGE portabelapps.com Platform modding scene and then it kinda vanished around 2009 with a few remnants only being custom skins...

This is me being curious as almost ALL of the modding tools have vanished from the web so i cant even download a older version and try them out

Launch App with flags?

Submitted by Merith-TK on August 10, 2019 - 2:19am

This is mainly for applications that ARNT in the portable apps store. So targeting single.exe files,

Is it possible to pass a directory flag to it? for example. I want a program to open in a folder, so if i were to run it with cmd i would use program.exe C:\Folder

is is possible to do this to apps? or would i have to compile a EXE to launch another EXE like this?

Determining what version/instance of an app would be updated by the Auto-Updater

Hi,

I have many instances/copies of Portable Firefox for testing: v52, v57, v60 and also each with their fresh, no addons, some addons, etc. instances. I don't name the folder to "AppNamePortable_Copy_2(3, etc.)" as in the manual.

Question: What premium features would you like to see at PortableApps.com?

Hi all! We've chatted before about introducing some premium features to PortableApps.com as a way of supporting and growing our efforts to build our platform, tools, and app selection. The goal would be to provide useful functionality at a reasonable cost above and beyond what we offer in our current setup, not to take the route of walling off existing features behind a paywall or switch away from an open source model. And, to a lesser extent, to provide more of an incentive to allow people to pay for the software as a business expense as many can't justify a 'donation'.

Scary consequences - was Chrome the cause??

I'd post this to the "Chrome" forum if there was one.
Ouch. I'm almost too psyched to write this, but it's the second occurrence, the last time being a year or so ago, and using some earlier version of Portable Chrome.
Download Chrome. Install it (in the portable sense of course - could be to HD but in my case to USB stick). Use it a bit.
Delete the Chrome/Data subfolder.
(I often do this: also on Firefox, FileZilla, 7-Zip, .. ..)
Use Chrome again. Experience serious problems such as:
