Does anyone know of any portable software like PSpice (just the schematics part). This is circuit design software used commonly in electrical, electronic... engineering. I basically just need software to draw circuit diagrams. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Had a corrupted permissions table that needed fixing in the database. Took a while to figure it out.
Seems it started earlier in the day and came to a head a little while ago. If you notice any other issues, please let me know.

Well I just got a change log e-mail from the Ubuntu team and I noticed that one of the changed items was this:
* Ubuntu can now be installed to USB devices, such as removable hard
drives and flash memory, using the text-mode installer
If anyone wants to try it the download link is here

Hi,
I would like to change the splash screen in firefox, fillezilla, and add one in thunderbird which doesn't have.
Is it possible with an exa editor like portableXNRE or is it just a .ini to change or a xml....
Thank yopu in advance, And thank you again for your contribution to the free software community.
Lately i've become addicted to portable apps, and I've been on a mission to find the best option (in my opinion) for portable storage, speed, reliability, and lifespan.
After buying and testing 4 USB stick drives, and two usb mini hard drives, i've found that the new WD passport pocket hard drive is by far the best device on the market for portable apps.
After trying out four different USB stick drives (memorex travel drive, sandisk cruzer etc..) I was very disappointed in the speed that all my portable apps were loading. Firefox was lagging pretty bad on all four of the usb stick drives I tested. I was also worried about the lifespan of these drives, because i know that they only last for a certain amount of writes/rewrites and can die pretty quick under heavy use.
I've been experimenting with several of the apps running from a new GeIL 1GB USB flash drive on a mid-range Dell D510 notebook and I'm dumbfounded at how fast AbiWord and OpenOffice load. AbiWord is up almost instantaneously (well, about four seconds, actually, but I've never seen a word processor load so fast) and OpenOffice Writer opens in about 15 seconds.
(The Dell is no speed demon, but the GeIL USB drive is purported to be one of the faster drives on the market.)
I'm certainly impressed with these portable
Hello everybody,
I don't remember if this issue has already been posted here. I was wondering about the possibility to carry portable apps on the memory card of a mobile phone.
I am planning to buy someday a new mobile phone and I was wondering if when connecting one to a Personal Computer, the latter can see the memory card directly or if you always have to pass through some sync software.
Do you have any idea?
Thanks
Hi.
Is there a way of using ms SyncToy to backup my memory stick? I know how to launch a "folder pair" from the command line and have PStart run that as an option, but my memory stick changes drive letter (obviously) so is there any way of passing the drive letter to sync from into SyncToy?
I know it's worded badly, but you probably get the drift...
Thanks.
Andrew.
Hello All,
I was wondering if someone could help me find a suitable portable email client for use with a USB drive.
Currently I have 4 email accounts. One personal account with POP3&IMAP support, a work account (POP3), a separate personal account for SPAM (POP3), and a second work account (POP3). I manage the first 3 with Outlook Express on my home PC and the 4th through the gmail website.
Ideally I would love to have the email client only SYNC with these accounts such that it leaves all the email either on the server or available for my home Outlook Express. Therefore when I SYNC in the morning, I would have access to whatever is at home. However I would have the comforts of an email client while away at work. But throughout the day it would leave everything on the server so when I get home I can still use Outlook Express and have my messages.
