Can you add an option to keep it open unless you minimize it yourself
I'm thinking about introducing platform-only apps for a couple categories and am looking for some thoughts. Please read the full post and then let me know any thoughts or suggestions you have.
I noticed something odd with Downthemall, then saw a comment over at AMO that the downthemall extension for Firefox is being discontinued? Is this true? If so, can someone recommend a replacement? I like the simplicity of the browser plugin, not really wanting to go to a download manager unless I absolutely have to. Mods, sorry if this is in the wrong thread, I don't know where it belongs.

I've installed Portable Apps on a new Windows 10 computer. I've tried to associate the .txt extension with NotePad++ Portable in every standard way imaginable, including editing the registry. However, Notepad is still the default. Does anyone have ideas on how to get this done?
I googled this site, and I have read various announcements and posts about cloud services. However, I can't find the following information.
1. Between Google Drive and Dropbox, which is the better cloud service for the Portableapps.com Platform?
Suggested Policy Change: Old threads should be marked as such with either [Outdated] or [Released], with links at the top to the new place to find download(s) of the project (whether that be a new thread, or an Official Release page).
I have installed portables.com platform onto my flash drive. I look forward to having many of my favorite apps - Firefox, Gimp, etc. - with me when I am away from my home computer. However, I have two questions regarding the platform.
1. There are portable apps that I am already using in my computer. These would include MusicBee, MediaMonkey, Foobar2000, Reno Uninstaller portables, etc.? Can and should I install these portable apps onto the platform?
Hello,
I mean the following.
I don't have desktop version of the PDF opener. So I want it use PortableApps version of PDF opener.
How can I achieve that without pain in the neck?
Cheers
UPDATE: I don't use runas with the laptop so it's not the runas part so i'm thinking its the Veracrypt / Portable apps.
I think this is a bug in the way the lock file is created and / or it's something with Veracrypt / chrome / runas ? I just need to know what file I need to remove before i start Portable Chrome I been living with this issue for like what seems a decade lol...I don't need to be warned I am fully aware of issues with apps and data and I perform all my own full backups.
More and more apps no longer support WindowsXP after an upgrade.
But is there no way to
- add the last WinXP version in the repository as xxxxxWinXP (similar to 7-Zip64)
- or at least provide a download-area with the last WinXP versions
- or any other working solution for having also the latest WinXP version installed (manually or automatically)
I know, WindowsXP is obsolete, but still used a lot under certain conditions or special cases.
Would be great
