Called "rocketdock"?
Right now my Sony USB drive is having a hard time running multiple apps. They just hang, and when I go to dismount the drive it takes a good 3 minutes after closing everything before allowing me. Are there any suggested high-speed drives to use?
I noticed that VLC 1.0.2 has been released, and also Thunderbird 3 Beta 4 has also been released
I've got both on my USB, but I'd like to update to the newer versions
Any time soon that they'll be updated, because I've not yet noticed it
and could somoneone please upload the installers to Dropbox or MediaFire
The firewall here at the library is way too strict due to filters, so I can't access Source Forge in order to download the installers to update Thunderbird + VLC
As some folks may have guessed (or hoped), jamcomm is now sitting out with a one week ban. After receiving a final warning two days ago, he'd continued with the attitude and had begun posting comments in all bold just to be annoying (since he had specifically been warned not to abuse the formatting in the forums). The ban will apply until October 6th and be lifted, giving him one last chance.
I know several moderators and developers are hoping for a permanent ban. I'm not a fan of such actions, but will take it if necessary.
Kind Regards,
John
i can't use it i follow the guide lines but it doesn't work please help
Anyone know of a portable Color picker application that has the ability to:
It must have all the typical features you'd expect from a color picker such as:
There has been a rise in the number of conversations concerning how we deal with malware [e.g. virus] reports from different vendors products.
A few points to make clear:
There has never been a true virus found in an Officially Released app from PortableApps.com , NEVER, nada, neyt.
I've read the "How it works" page, but it didn't give an actual answer to someone who is a bit more 'tech savy' than your average person. I'd like to know how a program is changed to bypass the Windows Registry, and other things that tie a program to a single computer. Any answers?
Just thought I'd inform you all that BlueMSX, an MSX emulator that can run the original two Metal Gears (1987, 1990) and other MSX games, can run off of any USB. Simply copy paste it's program files into a file in your flash drive and you can run it anywhere!
A while back i planned on developing explorer++, well I'm a slacker and never got around to it, and have lost any mind I had on making portableapps
Well here it is, since portableapps is starting to take freeware, and I have permission from the Author, David, to portablize it, I'll put it up for grabs for anyone who wants it.
If you need/want his email to me with permissions and that fun stuff, nab on on gtalk or however else you might be able to get me or PM me on the IRC (i'm almost always on, if not in the room) my nick is alpha1beta
