GREAT COINCIDENCE that it just starts magically working immediately after I post this. GREAT DAY!!!

MyPaint

I came across MyPaint a while ago when reading up on the next Blender Open Movie Project named Durian. At that time the windows package was a fair way behind the latest source. Just recently it has been updated to match the latest source.

MyPaint is a fast and easy open-source graphics application for digital painters. It lets you focus on the art instead of the program. You work on your canvas with minimum distractions, bringing up the interface only when you need it.

PortableApps on the iPhone?

Submitted by travellingman on July 25, 2009 - 5:10pm

I'm a long time PortableApps user and a recent iPhone user. (The iPhone is jailbroken, in case that is relevant.)

I realize that you cannot run PortableApps on an iPhone - that is clear.

However, I'm wondering if I install one of the many file storage iPhone Apps (Air Sharing is one that comes to mind), and then store various PortableApps on the iPhone in that manner, can I then run the PortableApps off the iPhone from a PC, via either wifi or a USB connection?

Sorry, this may be off topic, but question about a usb flash drive's lifespan?

Ok, I am new to the whole USB flash drive thing, but needed a good one to transport and store files for back up, so a friend of mine recommended a Verbatim Store N Go 4gb drive, as he said he has had his for 3 years, and no problems, plus he likes the limited lifetime warranty. Anyhow, I bought one, and have used about 1gb alone worth of apps. I write to the drive maybe a few times a week, but I mostly just use it for the apps, as read only.

No Portableapps Directory - Crazy!

Submitted by jamcomm on July 25, 2009 - 7:23am

I've just found out from a reply to a post I made to the "Request apps" forumn here that the apps listed on the navigation bar on the left here aren't everything portableapps can offer!!!

ISTM this is both fantastic and at the same time absolutely crazy!

Surely there must be some big directory of portableapps software somewhere?! A mention in a beta forumn doesn't really help at all as most users want software which "just works" - not a test version.

AppLauncher

I've just one little question.
Maybe it would be possible to answer it myself by browsing the site or building myself but its easier and more convenient like this.
So, why is the AppLauncher necessary?
Well, I use the Apps as an alternative to systemwide installations and it just crossed my mind whether or not the launcher is really necessary. If it is why and what does it?
