Just thought I'd pop in and let everyone know about this.
DL.TV(Wiki), a video podcast from some ex"The Screen Savers" cast, talked about PortableApps.com!
Episode 179, Tuesday July 3, 2007. Find it here.
Congrats!
Do you know any portable ps viewer?
Around the same time I discovered portableapps.com, I also remember reading about another portable OS system that allows ANY app to be installed within this system. I remember it was created by a group of programmers from India, and the app had a slightly unusual name. Does anyone remember this software.
This app permitted the user to plug and play an entirely private environment that permitted installation of any app, such as Photoshop or whatever. And without having to adjust the bios to login into this portable, private environment.
Hey John, is Rob still joining the development team, or is he staying out on his little island?
I've heard of few people comment on not knowing where to get free icons or that the ones people already have aren't very good. The only place I know of to get free icons is http://interfacelift.com/icons-win/index.php?sort=date. They have Mac., Windows, and Linux icons. If anyone else knows more places to get them I'm sure we would like to hear.
Hello!
I stumbled over PortableApps recently and am very very pleased with the idea and the functionality it provides. This was a really cool idea!
The third version of the GNU General Public License has been finished and published, including a cool looking logo.

Anyway, John, do you have any plans to upgrade to it? It seems to make exclusions easier.

I found it incredibly difficult using it on Windows NT.
I'm getting a massage "portable.exe" caused an error and will be close" something like that.
Is there any other way I can use it on Windows NT?
Has this been discussed, as I always get confused when people are talking about all site related things like the Tracker and stuff, so I'm not sure if this has been mentioned, but it's happened on three separate occasions now, when trying to come to this site I get Drupal error page. Saying;
Unable to connect to database server
And a bunch of stuff about setting up the installation of Drupal if you haven't already.
But what I was mentioning this for is it says says the site login user name, which I feel isn't good since it's one step closer to some hacker trying to get on this site.
