Does anyone else think the forums should have a "reply with quote" button?
It would be easier than typing in the HTML code. It would also be useful to people who don't know HTML, and don't bother to click on the "More information about formatting options" button to find out.
Hey all. I've been under the weather the past couple of days, hence the delay with yesterday and today's new apps and the delay in getting the strings out for translators for the 2.0 release. It shouldn't affect the release schedule, though translators will have a few less days than planned. I'm thinking about suspending new app releases until next week just to ensure that they don't compete for time as we run to the finish, followed by doing a bunch of app releases right after 2.0 to catch up.
About half the time, when I log in at portableapps.com/tracker, I get logged in and redirected to the third or fourth page in the tracker. The other half the time, I get properly redirected back to the first page of the tracker. Any idea what's up with this unexpected behavior?
I'm downloading a trial version of the studio, and I was wondering: does anyone know the exact limitations the trial has?
My office does not support Chrome nor does it allow me to install software on my computer. So, I downloaded Chrome portable and put the directory in My Documents which then allowed me to run Chrome. (No auto updates and it can't be set as my default browser, but I'm willing to live with these annoyances.)
Hi,
I installed MP3GainPortable_1.2.5.paf.exe in folder A on my laptop, so a folder named MP3GainPortable was created in folder A. I ran MP3GainPortable.exe from that folder and it worked fine.
Then I decided to move folder MP3GainPortable to folder B (still on the same computer), and when I run MP3GainPortable.exe a message pops up which basically reads: "The MP3gain Portable path has changed from A to B since it was last launched. Moving portable applications is not recommended since some features could stop working. Do you want to continue?"
Hello:
I'm new to Portable Apps, so please excuse if this question is somewhat naive.
I use a Flash Drive USB to run Portable Firefox ...I might wish to use it for other Port Apps as well. I never use it on any other PC but this one.
Questions:
How safe is it to simply leave the Flash Drive in the USB port? Say even when I reboot the PC. It's often a nuisance to remove it and re-insert it as the computer often tells me to wait for long intervals before safely removing it.
Why isn't there a linux version of portable apps?? I'm sure at least half the users are linux users.
very frustrating
Thank you very much for Workrave. The BEST program you have ever made available here!
