Highlight is a utility to convert source code to various output formats with syntax higlighting. A portable version could be nice for educational use (ie public hosts at universities). The original tool does not save stuff in the registry - only the writing of configuration files need to be observed.

The installer is 1.4 MB. It includes a PortableHighlight.exe
I've posted a test release of Portable Thunderbird 1.5.0.2 bundled with GPG and Enigmail (I'll be making packages available without them in the final release). This release sees a few changes:
1. Updated to use App/Data directories
2. Updated to newest GPG and Enigmail
3. Profile updating for GPG path
4. Registry key backup/restore to avoid "Would you like TB to be the default mail client?" issue on launch
The updated GPG/Enigmail settings and the registry key backup/restore is what needs the most testing. The registry backup is not done when AllowMultipleInstances is on due to conflicts.
I've posted a test release of Portable ClamWin AntiVirus:
http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/portableapps/Portable_ClamWin_0.88.1_...
It's a 4.9MB download. 18MB installed before you download the definitions . Please give it a shot and post any comments or suggestions back here. This will be publicly released soon.
UPDATE 4/18 11:30pm EDT: The bug has been fixed. Please try it again.
I need a few people to test out a test version of Portable GIMP before release tomorrow. Please don't blog this or mention outside the site as there may be bugs and this may not be the final version of Portable GIMP that is released tomorrow. It uses a couple new methods I came up with just for this app.
It's an English-only release (I'll be doing multilingual as well). It's an 11MB download and only 17.5MB installed.
After creating a portable Scribus based on someone else's code, I decided to try creating a portable app myself, doing the launcher coding myself. (I code with Autoit rather than NSIS)
RSSOwl is an open source RSS Reader. Even though they provide a non-installer download, it still saves profile files on the computer itself. So, I've put together RSSOwl so that it does not do this.
You can download it here:
.Zip, about 5.3MB
Tell me what you think. Tell me if you encounter any problems.
Hi

Hi Portable Apsters, we are working on a new range of simple open source portable apps and would like some beta testers. Ideally you should use your portables from both a USB key and your hard drive, but this isn’t essential.
We have released one already and will have 2 more next week.
People who haven’t beta tested before are especially welcome:)
Thanks very much,
Mat Ripley

I didn't see an open topic for the Beta Testing of this app.
I usually have to send system information, and have all the goodies right here. The program I used to get all the information on my system can be found at this URL:

I have my system information posted at this URL:

I find that Portable Thunderbird won't save in the drafts file twice in a row. I usually use a lot of graphics and formatting for stationery. I also find the program changing the word file:/// to mailbox:/// in the source. I used to have problems with running the program on the computer described in the system information page, but the upgrade from ver. 1.0.7 to 1.5 did the trick.

It should fix all of the prblems in 0.2
