I only recently decided to create a forum account but i have been following Portable apps from very close by. I want to thank John for his great work to keep this site and the apps up to date! I made my own Portable apps menu inspired by John and an other program (ViStart ).
Anyway enough talking! Below you can find a link to my creation. (It is written with Visual Basic 2005 Express edition)

I've just posted a pre-release of aMSN Portable. This is another one I'd had kicking around. It's an instant messaging client specific to MSN. As a result, it can use some of the more advanced features of MSN that Gaim and Miranda can't.

Download aMSN Portable 0.97 RC1 Pre-Release 2
(may take a few minutes to hit the download servers)

Please give it a try and post your feedback.

Thanks,

I decided to do a new release of Shellfish, my onscreen keyboard designed to avoid keyloggers (but not guaranteed to).

License: MIT License

Features:

Use one of three techniques to avoid keyloggers.
Send false keystrokes to keyloggers.

Techniques:

To set a technique edit the ini file so that the method entry is the keyword of the method you want.

  1. A paste style technique that puts text into the control. While this only works with standard windows edit controls it is the most secure. Keyword: directpaste

Portable Azureus completed!

Portable Azureus Vuze 3.0 (NO JAVA NEEDED!)

- Very fast loading
- Full Vuze functionality
- Can be run from any computer or straight from USB drive
- Does NOT depend on the Java Runtime Environment
- Compressed folder only 26mb
- Runs natively (No Thinstall nonsense!)

This took me eight hours straight; I needed a portable Azureus Blum
As i stated earlier this will work on any computer without the need for java.

Would appreciate feedback.
Download from one of these Mirrors;

Mirror 1:
Removed due to Java runtime being closed source for now.

Eraser Portable 5.82 Pre-Release 2 (Testers Needed)

Final version released. Topic locked.

Another one I'd mentioned a LONG time ago and hadn't thrown out there. This is Eraser, a secure file-deletion utility that can be used to fully wipe files or entire drives.

This one has a few registry entries that needed handling in multiple registry hives with different user-level permissions, but it should properly handle them all.

Please give it a try and post your feedback.

Thanks,
John
