I Made A .cmd File And Included Like 6 Lines Of Code Into That File.

Use This Extractor:
[removed by moderator JTH. Packaging Mozilla apps is only allowed with permission.]

Once U Extract It... Find firefox.cmd And Click It.

Should Say "Starting Firefox Portable" Or Something Like That In That Black Box.

Well Once Firefox Show's Up... I Want To Know... Is This Completly Portable With The Extentions, Themes And Etc?
And Does It Leave Any Files Behind?

Tips: Your Drive Or The Folders Containing This "firefox" folder cannot have any spaces

like:
X:\

AppRun (I know - its not a nice name, I think I'll change it soon)

Submitted by yacool on August 10, 2007 - 10:00am

Hi there.
I'm portable-addicted Wink and I use others apps on my USB-stick - skype, PSI, Total Commander, Private Data and many more. Sometimes i had problems with run them from it - it was many .exe files in directory, application must have som params or environment variables set berore it is run.
So I developed a small application that runs other application (that supposed to be a portable one) from (for example) App directory.
I can configure all application parameters and define Environment vars before run.
I found it very helpfull, so - If You thing it's interesting - try it.

Just so I can get it done before John... (Edit: *wink wink*)

WinMerge Portable is the popular WinMerge packaged as a portable app. WinMerge is an Open Source visual text file differencing and merging tool for Win32 platforms. It is highly useful for determining what has changed between project versions, and then merging changes between versions. Plus, it leaves no personal information behind on the machine you run it on, so you can take WinMerge wherever you go.

Shellfish is an on-screen keyboard that tries to avoid keyloggers. Shellfish now supports non-en-US keyboards. I need people to create them though. Also Shellfish needs to be beta tested.

Download Link: http://downloads.sourceforge.net/shellfish-kybrd/ShellfishPortable-Beta1...

Translators:

Copy the file English.ini under /App/shellfish/Lang to LANGUAGE.ini.

OK, I’m back. And here are some bugs fixes and a couple minor additions.

More Information & Download

New

  • You can now resort the entire list from the Options/Sort Apps Menu
  • Ctrl+ and Ctrl- Now Open or Close all SubMenus (I’ll look at adding an option to the Category popup menu to expand or contract the current tree in a future patch)
  • Page-Up and Page-Down work in the menu for faster scrolling

PortableApps.com Platform / Suite Installer Finish Page Options (Opinions Sought)

Submitted by John T. Haller on August 9, 2007 - 12:27am

I'm going to add a couple things to the end of the installer for both the platform and the Suite. On the finish page, I'm going to add two check boxes:

The first will start the PortableApps.com Menu. This one will be checked by default and start the menu up as the installer closes (I think most new users especially will appreciate this). The checkbox will be labeled "Launch PortableApps.com Platform"

Submitted by John Bentley on August 8, 2007 - 9:30pm

If this catches on I'll get an SF project. (Unless John wants this here. Wink ) This is my first release of Xenon and it Portable Package. I wrote Xenon in JavaScript (wxJS) with some AutoIt. I have a few ideas for improvements, feel free to suggest some more.

Todo:

Make the dosbox not appear.
Add copy/cut/paste to file functions.
Add tabs eventually.

PNotes Portable 1.0.1 PR4 / 2.0.0.2 Pre-Release 1

I've just posted a beta of PNotes Portable (as originally discussed here). PNotes is a sticky note utility that allows you to post sticky notes on your screen. It has multiple display options as well as a handy feature to schedule notes to pop up. It's small (under 1MB) and works well on Windows 2000 and up. Please give it a try and post your feedback.
