Hey all you PortableAppers,
I worked out a theme that I call "Wonders of Nature". I designed it for those who are concerned about space on their drive. you can get it from (and view it from):

just save as John instructed

Please post any feedback so I can improve it
Note: this is my RC2(of 3) (I've had others test it, they say it works fine but I want to make sure before I say that it is the best it can be)

I have created a new portable version of OpenWorkbench (Open Workbench is a desktop application for project management and scheduling in which you can define a work breakdown structure, set dependencies and resource constraints, assign resources to tasks, auto schedule and then monitor progress).

I was looking at Windows Planner and Gantt Project, but this was something I had already toyed with. Not too sure if its 100% working. Basically rushed it out for Christmas as the other 2 where taking longer to work with. If it does do better than expected I will do a bit more work to it.

Azureus Portable

Submitted by vamp1r on December 16, 2006 - 7:44am

For this release i'm going to pretend that every computer has java. (From my experience almost all do, so the java crutch doesn't bother me.)

I put together a portable version of Azureus 2.5.0.0 with the advanced statistics plugin pre-installed. I used a compiled batch file rather than NSIS, which will work (in theory) on WinNT/2k and XP. It might work on Vista-- if a Vista user could test this compatibility that would be great.

Anyway...

Testers needed for OverhoorPortable

Submitted by maikelsteneker on December 12, 2006 - 2:56pm

Hi beta testers!

I made a portable app of the great program Overhoor. At the moment it's nothing more or less than a launcher with the right name 7zipped in a paf file.

The author of the original program mailed me that he likes the idea and will allow continued development if the files installed by the original setup will not be modified.

Please tell me whether you like it or not, and if the program leaves some unwanted traces on systems it's used on.

AutoStart Visual Editor 1.12 Released

AVE 1.1 has now been released. AVE is the AutoStart Visual Editor. It allows you to quickly and easily add, remove or reorder items in an INF file. The main update in 1.1 is the new way in which it parses INF files. This should mean that it works with all INF files rather than just those of AutoStart. You can get it here

Any comments would be welcome.

Update 2006-12-12 - I have just published AVE 1.11 which is identical to 1.1 except that it fully supports the Portable Applications Format making it easy to use with the Portable Apps Menu. If you already have 1.1 there isn't really any reason to upgrade.
